SPCA SHELTER MANAGER

Job Description
The Cooks Islands SPCA has an exciting full time position to commence January 2020. The key responsibilities include:
1.Care for dogs at the CISPCA shelter
2.Support re-homing and fostering programmes
3.Operate the Animal Ambulance
4.Contribute and report to Executive Committee meetings
5.Carry out day to day general maintenance and repair
6.Identify and report maintenance and repair requirements for the shelter
7.Participate in building projects at the shelter
8.Support fund-raising/sponsorship activities specifically for Shelter needs
9.Coordination and management of volunteer staff
10. Engage with the public visiting the shelter
11. Attend weekly Saturday market with dogs to promote the shelter
To be considered for the above position you:
A. MUST LOVE DOGS
B. Have veterinary qualifications (ie nursing) and/or kennel management experience (or similar)
C. Have at least 10 years working experience, preferably in an animal related field.
D. Have experience managing staff
E. Be self-reliant, enthusiastic, and keen to make a positive impact on the wellbeing of people and animals in the Cook Islands
