Overview:

Kitsap Veterinary Hospital is a fast paced, high volume general practice, with room to grow. Our clientele is unique in that about half have been ours for ten plus years and about half new. We know most clients and pets by name and they know us just the same. We provide our clients with what we consider to be the gold standard of care, but offer many options in order to provide the care they need. We are proud to have clients that are very dental and preventative compliant. We preform a wide range of surgical procedures from cystotomies to exploratories to spays and neuters. The hospital hours are 8:00am to 6:00pm Monday-Wednesday, 8:00am to 8:00pm Thursday, 8:00am to 6:00p Friday, and 8:00am to 2:00pm Saturday. The support staff at Kitsap enjoys a flexible rotating schedule, encouraged CE, and an environment that fosters collaboration and intellectual growth.

About the Hospital:

Kitsap Veterinary Hospital has been operating in Port Orchard, WA since 1947 and in our current location since the 1980s. We are currently a four doctor practice, looking to expand our hospital and services in the near future. Our veterinarians have anywhere from ten to twenty years experience. We have digital x-ray and digital dental x-ray, we offer cold laser therapy and we have a brand new ultrasound on site. We have been AHAA accredited since 1986 and take pride in pushing our standards even higher. We are working to become Fear Free certified hospital wide. We are constantly seeking new options of high quality care to offer our clients while simultaneously advancing our hospital.

About the Community:

Kitsap is located in the ever growing community of Port Orchard. We are blessed to have a large waterfront presence just minutes from the hospital. There are multiple parks in the area. We are close to several large military installations and good portion of our clients are either active duty or retired military. Port Orchard is nestled in between the breathtaking Olympic Mountains and the Olympic National Park just an hour to the west, and a short ferry ride to Seattle to the east. Being close to everything the Pacific Northwest has to offer outdoors and at the same time having the big city nearby provides us with a unique location. We are located adjacent to a popular route for ferry traffic, which provides us great visibility.

Job Requirements:

We are seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician with 2+ years in hospital experience. Knowledge of regional issues and trends is a major plus. We pride ourselves on client education, which makes your client interaction skills invaluable to our team. Being open and eager to share as well as learn is important as we are constantly trying to educate our team with the latest knowledge and techniques to provide the highest quality of care for our patients.
