The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to support our Scunthorpe branch .

We have fantastic clients and we are active in the local community. You will also be working within well-equipped practices.

We take pride in our collaborative approach; you will have the opportunity to call upon our experienced vets for advice – and get to know the other vets within group and discuss clinical matters.

As qualified MRCVS, you’ll already have good experience gained in small animal practice. You’ll be competent in clinical examination and surgery. Sharing our values being trustworthy, caring and progressive, you will have all the softer skills essential to working effectively and empathetically.

Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1-2 years’ UK small animal practice (or UK equivalent) experience and be confident in their recommendations. We collaborate between all the branches so you are supported, whether sole charge or in one of the larger branches. You must be pet and client-centric and have excellent communication skills,

The Branch

Scunthorpe branch has 4 consult rooms, separate dog and cat wards, prep room, theatre and separate xray suite in a central location of Scunthorpe.

Scunthorpe is located in North Lincolnshire just off the M180 and M18 motorways allowing easy transport links to the Lincolnshire Wolds, Hull, Doncaster, Lincoln and York. It is a bustling town with restaurants, cinema, shopping parks and many other activities.

For those who enjoy country air and long walk, Scunthorpe is a stones throw away from the rolling hills of the Lincolnshire Wolds which is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the highest land between Kent and Yorkshire. In the Wold there are many quaint market villages with plenty of independent shops and history to explore.

To the East there is the popular seaside resort of Cleethorpes with many traditional seaside restaurants and activities, the boating lake, The Jungle Zoo and Cleethorpes Light Railway.
