The Role

We are currently looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join the My Vet team based at our St Annes branch. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week over 4 days with 1 in 4 weekends (daytime) solely at our St Annes Practice, except the weekends are at the main Clayton le Dale hospital alongside 2 other Veterinary Surgeons. There are no out of hours with this role. We are a busy consulting and operating site based in a bustling coastal town. Our normal day consists of consulting in the morning and afternoon with surgical time in the middle of the day. You will be working closely with the Vet at our Lytham and Freckleton branch. They have a close-knit team with RVN, receptionist and receptionist/kennel assistant. The branch has ultrasound, surgical suite, dental area, Idexx machines and nurse clinics.

We are looking for a Vet Surgeon who is comfortable with all first opinion procedures to lead our St Anne's branch. You will work closely with the other 15 sites within our group but will be able to make a real impact on the practice’s future. This is a busy consulting and operating site based in a bustling coastal town. The normal day consists of consulting morning and afternoon with surgical time in the middle of the day.

· We are open to full and part time applications

· Full time = 40 hours per week, over 4 days

· Just 1 in 4 weekends (daytime) at the main hospital (Clayton Le Dale)

· No Out of Hours

We have a great team of 26 Veterinary Surgeons and 16 Registered Veterinary Nurses. We have certificate holders in medicine, surgery, ophthalmology, and dermatology. Our practice is well equipped with an on-site CT scanner, digital x-ray, dental x-ray, endoscopy/ bronchoscopy, 24-hour hospitalisation and tonometer. We also have an onsite rehabilitation centre.


Applicant Requirements

This role would ideally suit someone with some experience who is wanting to further their career. Ideally, they should be happy sole operating but there will be some support availability as required.
