The Role

We are looking for a part time, Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon with a caring disposition and lots of enthusiasm to join our friendly team during a 12-month maternity cover position. We have 2 branches where Veterinary Surgeons move between, just 7 miles apart, on a fixed rota. Working hours are an average of 26.8 hour working week, consisting of 3 days 9am until 6:30pm and 1 in 3 Saturdays 9am until 1pm and no OOH. Plenty of opportunity to work up medical and surgical cases at each branch building positive client bonds and gaining job satisfaction.

About Us

We are focused on the quality of the healthcare, providing a high standard service to our clients. We offer all that is expected of a high standard small animal facility including digital radiography, dental radiography, Tonometry, Ultrasonography, Internal Blood Lab Machines and Digital ECG along with plenty of experience and knowledge across the team. We have various protocols in place to allow the days to run as smoothly as possible during this pandemic, these include PPE requirements within the practice, extended appointment times to allow for cleaning in between consultations and effective diary management.

Applicant Requirements

The successful candidate must be RCVS Registered with experience within a Small Animal Practice. You must also have the confidence to perform surgery unsupervised and have the ability to work up their own medical cases using the resources available to them such as Idexx, Internal Lab and diagnostic equipment.
