Veterinary Surgeon

Job Description

The Role

We are looking for a competent, small animal Veterinary Surgeon, ideally full time but we would consider part time. We would consider someone with an exotics interest/certificate but we will also consider small animal vets without an exotics interest. There is a possibility of a branch manager role. You will work 40 hours a week over 4 days on an eight-week rota with one in six full weekends with TOIL with no OOH.

About Us

We are looking for an enthusiastic, hard working Vet to Join our Family. We have 7 practices including a hospital, all within the Birmingham area. We have a team of 23 vets-multiple certificate holders, 21 RVN’s including 2 certificate holders and 3 SVN’s, 13 veterinary auxiliaries/clinical support staff, 20 receptionists and 11 admin staff. All our branches are fully functioning with equipment to perform their own procedures.

Applicant Requirements

We are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon who must be competent in consulting and routine surgery, have a good basic knowledge of ultrasound scanning. Exotics interest/certificate/diploma would be great but not essential. This could be a small animal only role if the candidate has no exotic interest. We would also consider a more experienced veterinary surgeon with specific interests.

As a Disability Confident Employer we are keen to hear from candidates with disabilities and long term health conditions, and would be happy to discuss any reasonable adjustments needed during the recruitment process.
