The Role

We are looking for a Veterinary Receptionist to join our friendly team in Lichfield, West Midlands. This can be either a full time or part time role working between 20-36 hours per week. There will be flexible working to cover various shifts over Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am to 7pm and Saturday and Sunday between the hours of 9am-5pm.

Duties for this role will include being the first point of contact for all clients and the public both on the telephone and in person. Demonstrating a professional and knowledgeable impression to promote the Practice and give confidence to our clients.

Pool House Veterinary Group has been serving the local community for over 150 years. Today we aim to provide a friendly and efficient service, to ensure our clients pets receive the very best from their first vaccination through to old age. Our Lichfield hospital is a modern, purpose-built premises, offering practicality with excellent facilities and high standards of care. We also have branches in Armitage, Burntwood and Mere Green (Sutton Coldfield). We provide on-site 24-hour patient care and emergency service from our Lichfield hospital. Our Tier 3 Veterinary Hospital opened in January 2009 after the practice out-grew its previous premises in the town centre and is purpose built.
We have a total of 120 employees across the group including specialist Veterinary Surgeons, Qualified and trainee Veterinary Nurses, Veterinary Receptionists and Physiotherapists and many have been with Pool House Veterinary Group for over 10 years. Pool Houseis well known with the wider community and actively supports many charities with their need for veterinary care along with attending and supporting many local charity events.

Applicant Requirements

A proven history of customer service in a busy environment is essential along with a happy can do, professional demeanour. Confidence around animals or a history of animal handling would be required.
