The Role

We have an amazing opportunity for a Senior Veterinary Surgeon to join our lovely small animal practice in Hyde. You will be providing high quality clinical care to all pets and an outstanding client experience, helping to create and maintain an efficient clinic. There will be a mixture of general surgery and consults each day with minimal sole charge. Working hours and rota detailed below.
• 4 weekdays (8:30am-7:00pm)
• 1:4 Saturdays (8:30am-12:30pm/5:00pm) time back in lieu
• 40 hours per week (in total)
• No OOH

Our White Cross Vets Hyde practice is a new purpose-built facility with 4 consult rooms, fully equipped with all the latest technology including an operating theatre, x-ray, in-house laboratory, blood pressure monitor and separate cat and dog wards. Our team has a wide range of specialisms and interests including vet Mike who is interested in orthopaedic and reconstructive surgery and nurse Anneliese who runs a popular free weight clinic which has had proven results for her patients. We are passionate about serving our community and do a lot of work with our local school children, to educate them on responsible pet ownership.

Applicant Requirements

The ideal candidate will be an experienced RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon, preferably from a similar senior role in a small animal practice setting. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team are essential. A passion to deliver great clinical quality, caring for pets as if they were your own and a providing a fantastic client service are the standards we strive for.
