Internal Medicine Specialist

Job Description

Job Description

North Peninsula Veterinary Emergency Clinic is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible internal medicine specialist to join our growing team!

Situated just south of San Francisco, North Peninsula Veterinary Emergency Clinic (NPVEC) was established in 1973 by thirty-three local Bay Area Peninsula veterinarians. We pride ourselves in maintaining close personal relationships with these founding practitioners, and establishing relationships with the newer veterinarians opening clinics in this area. For our local community, we provide comprehensive 24/7 emergency and urgent care for companion animals, and we are communicating with the local veterinarians regarding their patients for ongoing or follow-up care.

We are a vibrant, high-paced, eight veterinarian, 24/7 facility and are accepting applications from energetic, compassionate, skilled v eterinarians with a passion for veterinary medicine and who seek the excitement and challenges that accompany a companion animal internal medicine specialty. Even though we have been in this area for over 45 years, our hospital underwent an extensive renovation from the ground up in 2011, to provide a beautiful, state-of-the-art facility. The hospital was designed to provide a calm and comfortable environment for our clients and their animals.

We are expanding our hospital services and seek to add an internal medicine specialist that will provide services and collaborate with our emergency medicine team on cases to ensure we explore appropriate options in the treatment of our patients. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, effective communicator and collaborator, with excellent multi-tasking skills and can contribute to our high standard of patient care, client service, and collaboration with our other specialists and local referring veterinarians. You will have the opportunity to grow professionally with the hospital and build and sustain strong relationships with referring colleagues, clients, and support staff.

Located in the San Francisco Bay Area Peninsula, the cities and towns in this region showcase a collection of multi-use state and county parks and entertainment (theater, ballet, symphony, museums) venues nestled amid San Francisco and the high-tech community of Silicon Valley, that both draw many young professionals and families. The breathtaking California Coastline and outdoor recreation adventure sites are within easy access. G et all the perks of big-city life without the big-city price tag.

We offer a pro/sal compensation plan (with industry exceeding percentage), along with competitive benefits and signing and retention bonuses. We look forward to hearing from you and for the opportunity to tell you more about our great facility and team.
