The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time Head Registered Veterinary Nurse at our Chorlton practice in Manchester.

We are excited to offer the opportunity to lead our dynamic and enthusiastic nursing team. We believe passionately in patient care and also the maintaining of our growing nursing team which also includes two SVN’s and a full time receptionist.

We are looking for someone to work closely with our leadership team in delivering the very best that veterinary care has to offer our clients and patients.

Your average day will include a variety of nursing duties as well as assisting with clinical coaching within the practice. Full support will be provided by the team at the practice including our experienced lead vet and regional team.

We are looking for an RVN who shares our passion for delivering outstanding service and care for our clients and patients. You may have previous experience leading a team or you’re ready to take the next step into a head nurse position. You will have a friendly and positive attitude and want to progress and expand your knowledge and skills further.

This is a full time role, weekends will be on a rotation at our Oldham Chadderton practice.

Salary & benefits

Salary up to £30,000 dependent on experience

BVNA and RCVS fees paid

CPD allowance £300 plus 2 days CPD leave

The Branch

Medivet Chorlton has a lovely small team consisting of a lead vet, head nurse and patient care assistant. The branch used to be a referral hospital so has a lot of equipment including ultrasound, digital x-ray, endoscopy, multiparameter machine, defibrillator etc. The lead vet is currently working towards a surgery certificate and the branch has various visiting specialists (dermatology, imaging etc) so promoting exceptional care is truly at the heart of what we do.

The branch is compliant with practice standards scheme and is working towards the client service award.
