The Role

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Head Veterinary Nurse who will be instrumental in the day to day running of our practice. You will have an equal share in the clinical work whilst some of your time will be spent on more administrative tasks including organising rotas, appraisals and ensuring our high clinical standards are maintained. You will be part of our management team with an active role in the ongoing structure and progression of our practice. This is a full-time role working 40 hours a week, 5 days a week with 1 in 4 weekends 8.30am-12pm. Learning and the development of interests will be actively encouraged and part of your role as a head nurse will be to continue supporting the team and keeping us updated on further improvement of practice standards.

About Us

We are a busy 4 Veterinary Surgeon, 4.5 Veterinary Nurse RCVS accredited small animal practice with an interesting and varied case load. Located in Falkirk, our practice is ideally placed between both Edinburgh and Glasgow for an easy commute. We have a small, friendly, and approachable team with a variety of interests and experience who all maintain our high clinical standards.

Applicant Requirements

We are looking for a Registered Head Veterinary Nurse who is passionate about their role and is a strong and effective communicator with a good work ethic. The successful candidate will be able to lead by example and contribute to continuing to develop our great Veterinary Nursing team. You should be interested in becoming involved in the wider practice management alongside the management team to always keep the practice progressing.
