The Role

We are currently looking for an Equine Veterinary Surgeon to join our forward-thinking and motivated team in East Sussex. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday with an out of hours rota currently 1:8.

You will be joining a progressive practice with a fully equipped surgical facility and inpatient facility for 17 horses. The role will be mainly ambulatory, but with the opportunity to work up your own cases at the Clinic and establish your own referral caseload. You will be backed up for field procedures by a team of Equine Veterinary Nurses.

Cliffe Equine Vets is an established RCVS Accredited Equine Practice based just outside Lewes in the East Sussex countryside. The practice is set in the beautiful Sussex countryside at the base of the South Downs, just a few miles from the vibrant market town of Lewes and a short drive from Brighton where there are direct trains to Gatwick Airport and London Victoria.

We are an 8 Vet team with dedicated equine dental technicians and a team of qualified Equine Veterinary Nurses. We have full surgical and hospital facilities and newly refurbished stabling for 17 horses.

Applicant Requirements

A strong work ethic and a desire to provide a high-quality service to our clients is vital, along with excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. An interest in stud medicine is desirable but not essential.
