Great Lakes Hospital for Animals is a multi-doctor, AAHA-accredited practice located in Belmont, MI (Only 15 minutes north of downtown Grand Rapids). We are a progressive, small animal hospital committed to providing exceptional medical care, service, and compassion to our clients and their pets.

We are looking for either a full or part time associate to join our 4 veterinarians and our highly skilled veterinary team. Ideal candidate will have a passion for serving others, an interest in surgery and dentistry, and a desire to educate and partner with our clients to provide a long, happy, healthy relationship with their pets.

We will provide a supportive environment in which you will be able to continue to learn and grow. Our multi-doctor practice provides a collaborative work environment, and also allows for ample time to fulfill interests outside of the practice with a monthly Saturday shift rotation (once per month) and no Sunday or after-hours call . • We are a multi-doctor practice highly focused on dentistry/oral health, nutrition, and preventive care
• Digital radiology
• Digital dental radiology
• Complete in-house laboratory including SediVue DX as well as Idexx/MSU Reference labs
• Dedicated surgical suite with advanced patient support and monitoring equipment
• Brand new Bovie electrosurgical unit
• Two dental stations with state of the art dental machines and instrumentation
• Electronic medical records with computer access in all patient care areas
• 8 experienced and professional licensed veterinary technicians including one who is working on her VTS in dentistry
• Highly leveraged and educated veterinary support team including three assistants pursuing degrees in veterinary technology

• We encourage and support the cultivation of doctors’ special veterinary interests
• Collaborative work environment with collegiate veterinarians who participate in rounds, case study/reviews, and monthly doctor meetings
• Active participant in the greater Grand Rapids veterinary community, including professional memberships, regular community education segments on local radio, and an educational partnership with the veterinary technology program at Baker Community College
