Bienville Animal Medical Center is located in Ocean Springs, MS is seeking an associate DVM to join our AAHA practice.

BAMC is a full-service veterinary and boarding facility providing the highest level of medical, surgical, and dental care to our patients. Our veterinary team of 8 doctors collaborate on cases and have a wide spectrum of interests. With our high volumes and diverse clientele, an outgoing and quality care focused Veterinary has the ability to quickly build their own client base with the support of a well-rounded and experienced staff. We pride ourselves on practicing a high level of medicine and personally connecting with our clients which has created a devoted client base.

About the Hospital

• 6 exam rooms
• Basic and advanced Dentistry with Digital Radiographs
• Digital Radiograghs
• Full in house laboratory as well as outside reference laboratory
• Ultrasound

• 2 CVTs

Job Responsibilities

• Perform physical examinations and diagnostic/medical/surgical/dental procedures that deliver the highest quality care
• Develop continuity of care and trust by communicating effectively with clients and providing a high level of care leading to client retention.
• Collaborate in the development of the paraprofessional team to ensure delivery of the highest quality care and exceptional client service.
• Maintains client/patient medical/surgical records and makes certain all necessary logs are kept up-to-date through established protocols.

Qualifications

An ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Veterinarian, be outgoing and easily connect and communicate with clients and team members, be passionate about providing a high level of clinical care in the exam room and surgical suite.

• A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university
• Licensure in good standing to practice in Mississippi

Schedule

Our doctors generally work 4-4.5 day workweeks.

• Monday, Thursday, Friday 10:30-6:30
• Tuesday 8:00-5:30pm
• Saturday 8:00-12:00 (rotation-generally off 1-2 per month)

The ideal candidate would be somewhat flexible when needed to accommodate other associates vacation/CE leave. Our doctors meet monthly to discuss the schedule and plan for the next month.

Ocean Springs is located on the beautiful gulf coast of Mississippi. We are bordered by the Gulf of Mexico and a short drive from destinations like New Orleans, LA and Destin, FL. Ocean Springs has a huge art influence and is a close-knit community.
