Anaesthesia & Analgesia: Fundamentals Distance Education | Course - Postgraduate
Veterinary Science Conference Centre, Sydney, 2006, NSW, AU
Date
01-Feb-2024 - 28-Apr-2024
Event Description
The goal of every veterinarian is to provide as safe as possible anaesthesia for their patients.
Methodically preparing for anaesthesia minimizes unexpected and potentially catastrophic complications and improves the safety of anaesthesia. Preparing for anaesthesia entails preparing for all four phases of anaesthesia, pre-induction, induction, maintenance and recovery. The clinician has to apply knowledge and skills to make informed decisions and undertake appropriate preparatory steps for each phase. The aim of this course is to provide participants with an opportunity to refine their knowledge in anaesthesia relevant pharmacology, physiology and pathophysiology, and for advancing their understanding of patient monitoring and managing complications, and ultimately to enable them to enhance the quality and safety of anaesthesia.
