Situated in the middle of the Queensland coast, Mackay boasts golden sandy beaches (many are dog friendly) and lush subtropical rainforest. It is only a short drive to Airlie Beach, which is the gateway to the Whitsundays and the Great Barrier Reef, making it a wonderful place to pursue outdoors interests or just relax on the beach.
At Mackay Veterinary Hospital, we pride ourselves on our friendly, helpful customer service and quality care and advice.
We experience a wide and varied case load of all things small animals. We are equipped with all the usual toys including digital xray and digital dental xray, ultrasound, in house laboratory and orthopaedic equipment. We have regular visiting specialists at Mackay Veterinary Hospital throughout the year allowing exposure to areas of advanced vet practice including orthopaedics, ophthalmology and dermatology. There is plenty of opportunity to pursue areas of special interest.
After hours is shared out to do one night a week and one weekend in four. Continuing education is encouraged and financially supported.
