We are looking for an enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse who is a good communicator and motivated with the passion and commitment to drive the practice forward and work within our team of 9 qualified RVN's, 2 SVN's and 1 ANA. Our nurses are involved in all aspects of veterinary nursing work including; nurse clinics, anaesthetic monitoring, x-rays, in-patient care and laboratory work. This is a full time role including 1 in 5 participation in the OOH weekend rota and 1 night duty per week. This position is to cover maternity leave. The hours are 37.5 per week. Weekend work and on-call are paid on top of your annual wage. Salary is dependent on experience. The shifts range from starting at 7.30am to finishing at 7pm so you will need to be flexible to cover varying times on different days.
A great opportunity has arisen for a RVN to join our busy, thriving, small animal practice in Hereford. As a practice we endeavour to set high standards and keep up with new developments to give the best possible service to our clients whilst working alongside a team of friendly vets, RVNs and support staff. We are a nurse training practice and run a variety of nurse clinics including senior/puppy checks and weight management. We have many long standing nurses who began as volunteers and went on to train with us who now hold senior positions. We have a visiting cardiologist, orthopaedic specialist and ultrasonographer attend the practice also. We have our own in-house laboratory, digital x-ray, multi parameter anaesthetic monitoring machine, ultrasound and ECG.
To be successful in this role you will need to be a qualified RVN, flexible, able to work autonomously and have great communication skills. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and prioritise workloads is essential. You must also be able to work well within a close team.
