SportsVet Animal Medical Center is seeking a Certified/Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our ER / Urgent Care team!

We are looking for a credentialed veterinary technician who enjoys working nights and weekends. Mentorship available to new grads!

We are a busy full-service and emergency, AAHA accredited animal hospital located in Savoy, Illinois. We provide a wide range of services for our patients including routine veterinary wellness care, 24/7 emergency medicine, and advanced orthopedic surgery and rehabilitation. We have cultivated an outstanding team to maintain efficient and quality patient care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The candidate we are seeking should be professional, willing to work as part of our, and enjoy providing exceptional service to our clients and our canine and feline patients.

In this role you will:

Work closely with our ER / Urgent Care DVM’s providing care for our walk-in ER service and Urgent Care clients. Triage Patients and provide care for hospitalized cases.

Be a well utilized technician able to perform a variety of technical tasks daily including blood draw, placing intravenous catheters, executing all aspects of anesthesia from start to finish, administering injections, calculating medication dosages and preparing medications, hospital care, patient management, running both in house and referral lab-work as well as daily client interactions.

Be expected to perform a variety of diagnostic procedures including taking diagnostic digital x-rays and demonstrating proficiency with routine laboratory tests such as fecal analysis, urinalyses, hematology, and ear cytology.

Be an integral part of the record keeping process. Assuring patient information and updates are accurately observed and documented in the medical record.
