Cary Veterinary Hospital is seeking to hire an EXPERIENCED full-time or part-time Veterinary Technician/Assistant to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, is reliable, eager to learn, professional, and compassionate.

Candidates are preferred to have experience in the following areas:
• Proper and effective restraint
• Venipuncture
• Place IV catheters
• Give injections (IV, IM, & subq)
• Pharmacy Duties
• In-house lab work
• Radiology
• Handling medical records
• Surgical assistance
• Maintaining and monitoring anesthetized patients
• Assist with dental procedures
• Wrapping & sterilizing instruments
• Client education

Other responsibilities include
• Answering phones, scheduling appointments, following up with clients, etc.
• Some kennel works

Candidates must possess excellent customer service and communication skills (with clients and with co-workers and doctors), be detail-oriented, able to multi-task, and maintain a positive and professional attitude in a fast-paced environment.

Weekend/Holiday Availability on a weekly rotating basis is required. Salary is negotiable, competitive to mark, and dependent on experience. Avimark experience is a plus! Minimum 1 year experience is required.
