Veterinary Technician Position

Job Description:
• Behave in a friendly and welcoming manor to all clients and patients
• Display a supportive team-player approach toward coworkers
• Clean the clinic, stalls, office, hay/feed storage shed, pasture turnout, grounds and parking lot daily
• Clean/Maintain equipment and facilities
• Restock shelves and vehicles
• Log inventory items to be ordered
• Inform Hospital Manager of any equipment/facilities issues
• Prepare instruments for autoclave sterilization
• Prepare clinic/vehicles for appointments
• Assist veterinarians with restraining animals (small animals) using low-stress handling techniques, administering treatments, caring for hospitalized patients (feeding, cleaning bedding)
• Ensure lab samples are processed appropriately
• Perform general anesthesia for small animals and small ruminants, including but not limited to:

o endotracheal intubation, periphery & central venous catheter placement, induce and monitor anesthesia.
• Other tasks as assigned by Veterinarians, Lead Technician, and/or Practice/Office Manager
• Must be 18 years or older with a valid driver’s license and no criminal history
• Must hold a current/valid WA DOH Licensed Veterinary Technician credential

Schedule:
• Full or Part Time
• Hours: 8AM-6PM, Monday-Friday. Working later than 6PM may be required.
