Southern Hills Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Credentialed Veterinary Technician or an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team.

Overall purpose and objective: To provide efficient care as a Veterinary Technician. Work with other team members to promote team-driven atmosphere. Always striving to provide compassionate, high quality health care for our patients.

Job Requirements

Anesthesia- maintenance, monitoring and recovery of patients, clean and maintain anesthesia equipment.

Surgery- surgical prep, doctor assistance, clean, sterilize and maintain all surgical equipment/instruments.

In-Patient care- give prescribed medications, assist in treatments, place IV catheters, administering IV fluids, cleaning, feeding, walking patients as needed.

Radiology- positioning patients, taking radiographs.

Dentistry- Provide patient dental care, ultrasonic cleaning and polishing, dental radiographs, charting and assisting doctor with extractions

Labratory duties-collecting, preparing and running or submitting samples for requested testing.

Outpatient- blood draws, bandage changes, ear cleanings, nail trims and assisting doctors with procedures.

Customer service oriented with outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
