Job Description

Coastal Cat Clinic is seeking an Experienced Veterinary Technician (RVT is preferred) to join our feline only hospital in beautiful Pacifica, CA.

Full time or part time positions available.

Who We Are:

Coastal Cat Clinic is a Gold Certified Cat Friendly Practice with two full time veterinarians (and looking to add a third in the near future). We are only 20 to 30 minutes away from San Francisco, many other peninsula cities, and are accessible by public transportation. We are outfitted with the latest equipment including digital x-ray, digital dental x-ray, in-house lab machines, ultrasound and are always striving to provide high quality medical care to our patients.

We foster a team-oriented environment and are open to change for the best of our patients. Our hours are Monday – Friday 8 am to 4 pm, and Saturday 9 am to 4 pm (closed on Sundays, hours subject to change). Some weekend availability will be required.

Living in Pacifica:

Pacifica is great for people who enjoy going to the beach, hiking, and relaxing. Mild winters, cool summers, and the natural beauty of the rugged coastline make it a highly desirable place to live. Pacifica is a major Northern California surfing center, but there are also other outdoor activities like fishing on the Pacifica Pier, trails for hiking and biking, or relaxing on the uncrowded beaches enjoying the beauty of the mountains rising from the shore line and dramatic sunsets.

  • Credentialed Veterinary Technician is desired, but we will absolutely consider someone with the right experience (minimum 3 years veterinary experience required).
  • A self-motivated, energetic team player who understands the importance of teamwork and exceptional communication among team members and our wonderful clientele.
  • The ideal candidate will share in the belief of a strong bond between humans and their pets.
  • Being a Gold Certified Cat Friendly Practice, we require all staff to follow our cat friendly protocols and restraint tactics.
  • Experience working with cats of all ages, as well as experience with restraint, monitoring anesthesia, and performing dental cleanings on cats is required.
  • Knowledge of Avimark is a plus.

All staff are eligible for:

  • Paid CE Opportunities
