Viewmont Animal Hospital is seeking a highly motivated, experienced veterinary technician or experienced veterinary technician assistant to join our fast pace, five doctor hospital in Hickory, NC. We are located in the heart of the Foothill Mountains. Candidate will practice a full range of duties in our well-equipped, state-of-the-art hospital. Technicians must be able to perform the following partial list of technical requirements: phlebotomy and intravenous catheter placement, working knowledge of anesthesia administration and monitoring, radiology and knowledge of commonly used medications. Assistant technicians must be able to follow instructions from the technician and/or doctor with whom they are working. Both positions require reliability, excellent communication and the ability to handle patients in a clinical setting. Our focus is patient care and owner education.
