The Role

We are seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join our new branch in Whittlesey, Peterborough.

As qualified MRCVS, you’ll already have good experience gained in small animal practice. You will be competent in clinical examination and surgery and confident working sole charge or as part of the wider team. Sharing our values being trustworthy, caring and progressive, you will have all the softer skills essential to working effectively, building trusting relationships with your colleagues, harnessing our one team culture.

You will also display good communication skills and the desire to share your knowledge and skills by being an outstanding, positive example to others.

We have an excellent support structure in place and we take pride in our collaborative approach; you will have the opportunity to call upon our experienced vets for advice whenever you need it.

The role is working 4 days per week plus 1 in 3 Saturdays.

Salary & Benefits:

Package up to £47,669 dependent on experience, to include:
-Very competitive salary
-£7,800 accommodation allowance per annum
-Vehicle or £2,500 vehicle allowance per annum
-£1,500 CPD allowance with 3 days CPD leave per annum
-VDS, RCVS, BVA fees paid
-5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays per annum

We can also support Certificates of Sponsorship for a Tier 2 (General) Visa if you meet the criteria and are eligible to register as a veterinary surgeon with the RCVS upon arrival in the UK.

Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1-2 years’ UK small animal practice (or UK equivalent) experience and be confident in their recommendations.

You must be patient and client-centric, have excellent communication skills and be competent in routine surgery.

The Branch

Our team in Whittlesey deliver exceptional care to clients and patients in Peterborough, from routine vaccinations to surgery and emergency treatment. We know that pets are part of the family and deserve the very best care at all stages of their life. Our surgery is fully equipped with modern facilities and diagnostic equipment, including X-ray and ultrasound. Our friendly team consists of 4 Vets, 3 RVNs, a Patient Care Assistant and 4 part time Client Care Assistants.
