The Role

We are seeking a full time motivated Veterinary Surgeon to join us in a varied role supporting our practices in the Harrogate area.

This position provides wonderful flexibility and will give you the opportunity to be involved in interesting caseloads with state-of-the-art technology; you will work a mix of sole charge and in multi-vet practices alongside other experienced vets and certificate holders in the region.

The ideal candidate will have at least six months’ UK small animal practice (or UK equivalent) experience and have a passion for delivering outstanding care to their patients, as well as a first-class service to their clients. We offer excellent long-term prospects for the right candidate, with advancement in skills and specialism actively encouraged.

As qualified MRCVS, you’ll already have good experience gained in small animal practice. You will also display good communication skills and the desire to share your knowledge and skills by being an outstanding, positive example to others.

We have our own dedicated 24 hour centre at Thirsk that covers our out of hours service.

The Branch

Our Harrogate Oak Beck Way clinic is a well-equipped practice tucked away on the outskirts of Harrogate yet close enough to pop out at lunch time.

The practice has 2 theatres, a large prep room, separate dog and cat ward and a separate fully furbished dental suite. Spacious and bright reception/waiting area with separate dog and cat seating

Modern digital X-ray, ultrasound and CT scanner facilities.

In house lab equipment with up to date analysers and external lab support and services.

Our Harrogate Otley Road clinic works alongside our Oak Beck Way site offering our customers a more personal touch in the centre of Harrogate. This clinic has one consulting room and a prep area with kennels. From here any surgical cases are transferred to Oak Beck Way.

Harrogate Knaresborough Road is a friendly clinic with a large and dedicated client base has been well established in Harrogate for 25 years. It has good facilities and a fun and hard working team.

The beautiful area of North Yorkshire is a vast area with endless opportunities for adventure and sightseeing in the Yorkshire Dales, North Yorkshire moors, Yorkshire coast, Harriot country including historic York, Harrogate with its Victorian Splendour and the bustling market town of Thirsk. All with great shopping opportunities, including a designer outlet at York

There is also many museums and galleries, including the Jorvic Centre in York, a modern insight to the Viking heritage of York itself and the James Herriot museum in Thirsk for fans of the famous fictional Yorkshire vet.
