The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon at our Guildford practice.

The suitable candidate will be a driven, dynamic, ambitious individual with exceptional communication skills. We are looking for someone with at least 1 year of UK (or UK equivalent) small animal experience who practices to a very high standard using an evidence based approach.

The successful candidate will be confident with routine surgery and first opinion consulting and have a desire to build up a client base of their own. Clinical development will be supported and encouraged, and there are partnership opportunities for the right individual.

The role allows for a good work life balance by working 39 hours a week over 4 days. You will also be part of a 1:3 Saturday rota.

Salary & Benefits:

A very competitive package of up to £50,000 per annum (depending on experience), which includes accommodation allowance and a vehicle or vehicle allowance

£1,500 CPD allowance with 3 days’ CPD leave per annum or pro rata and in-house CPD training

5 weeks annual leave, plus bank holidays

VDS, RCVS, BVA fees paid

You must be a registered Veterinary Surgeon with the RCVS.

The Branch

Medivet Guildford is a friendly clinic with a supportive team consisting of two Vets, a Nursing team of four and Client Care Assistants. The practice offers a full range of veterinary services and facilities, including digital x-ray, ECG, endoscopy, ultrasound, nurse clinics and dental procedures. Guilford is a historic heritage town in Surrey with a quaint cobbled high street, vibrant shops and wealth of attractions. Conveniently situated in easy reach of Heathrow and Gatwick Airports and train links to London in just 40 minutes. Located with easy access to the M25, M3 and A3, making it the perfect place to explore the whole of the South East of England.
