The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a veterinary surgeon to join our well established hospital in Dartford.

You will be working in a friendly team, a wonderful nursing and reception team. The practice has a real community feel with lovely very well bonded clients.

The ideal candidate is someone that has a client- orientated approach and practices to a high standard. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ UK small animal practice (or UK equivalent) experience, You must have excellent communication skills, and be comfortable with routine medicine and surgery.

Clinical development will be supported and encouraged, and there are partnership opportunities for the right individual

The role allows for a good work life balance by working 39 hours a week over 4 days. You will also be part of a 1:6 weekend rota.

Salary & Benefits:

A very competitive package of up to £60,000 per annum (depending on experience), which includes accommodation allowance and a vehicle or vehicle allowance

£1,500 CPD allowance with 3 days’ CPD leave per annum or pro rata and in-house CPD training

5 weeks annual leave, plus bank holidays

VDS, RCVS, BVA fees paid

Skills and Experience

You must be a registered Veterinary Surgeon with the RCVS.

The Branch

Medivet 24 Hour Dartford is based in the town centre, which offers many places to eat and shop, and is a 15-minute drive from Bluewater Shopping Centre. The practice is also a short walk from Central Park, which has beautiful gardens and is home to part of the River Darent, which also continues past the scenic Brooklands Lake.

The successful candidate will be joining a large team of 3 vets, 7 nurses and 4 CCAs. The practice is equipped with the latest technology including digital X-ray and ultrasound. As well as the in-house services, you will also get access to all the services across the Medivet group.
