The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a part time Veterinary Surgeon to join our Chelmsford branch.

The practice has been part of the local community for over 30 years and is situated in a desirable, residential area. Chelmsford is well located for easy access to London (only 40 minutes by train) & Stansted airport (30 minute drive).

You will be working in an established team supported by the Branch Partner and a wonderful, friendly nursing and reception team. The nursing team currently consists of 2 RVN’s and 2 students. The practice has a real community feel with lovely, very well bonded clients. On-site facilities include, digital x-ray, ultrasound, new dental unit & separate laboratory facilities. We feed into a 24hr hospital only 30 minutes away where additionally there is a CT scanner, rigid/flexible scopes, laser surgery & heart scans are performed.

The desired candidate is someone that has a client- orientated approach and practices to a high standard with a minimum of 2 years’ UK small animal practice (or UK equivalent) experience. You must have excellent communication skills, and be comfortable with routine medicine and surgery.

Ideally, you will work 3 days a week over 30 hours. However, we can be flexible for the right candidate. You will also be part of a 1:3 Saturday rota.

Salary & Benefits:

A very competitive package of up to £50,000 per annum pro-rata (depending on experience), which includes accommodation allowance and a vehicle or vehicle allowance

£1,500 CPD allowance with 3 days’ CPD leave per annum pro-rata and in-house CPD training

5 weeks annual leave, plus bank holidays

VDS, RCVS, BVA fees paid
