Veterinary Surgeon

Job Description

The Role

We are offering Veterinary Surgeons the chance to join our clinic teams which are Branch Manager led, allowing you to concentrate on your clinical work. We strive to create a relaxed and friendly environment, with a good work/life balance as we understand the stresses and strains of our fabulously rewarding but challenging vocation. Your rota will be 4 day weeks within your home branch and then 1 in 7 Saturday mornings 9:00am–12:00pm at our designated OOH clinic allowing patients to be directly admitted for hospital care if required. No overnight on call duties or full weekends.

About Us

We have Veterinary Surgeons studying for their surgical certificates meaning we have the facility for funky ortho and soft tissue ops plus we have Veterinary Surgeons with different interests across our group. We champion further learning for all, whether that means certificates or OV training and we have 5 Training Practices within our group for our student nurses whom all follow a specific nurse training pathway.

We believe that no-one is on their own in our group, even if working in a sole charge clinic and we work hard at working together through our vet team WhatsApp group & monthly Zoom meetings to provide support for each other and to discuss clinical & organizational matters.

Birmingham has so much to offer, buzzy nightlife, countryside on the doorstep and central transport links with the rest of the UK and to Europe. Plus of course, the opportunity to work within TVC group, part of the big happy IVC family!

Applicant Requirements

This role would suit anyone from a new grad to a more experienced Veterinary Surgeon. Patient welfare is at the heart of everything we do, and we demand that an excellent level of service is provided to our clients and pets. We expect you will have both consulting and surgical experience and super communication skills.

As a Disability Confident Employer we are keen to hear from candidates with disabilities and long term health conditions, and would be happy to discuss any reasonable adjustments needed during the recruitment process.
