The Role

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our wonderful, friendly, hard-working team, who are dedicated to supporting each other and are passionate about high standards. We are a thriving practice that offers a variety of small animal work allowing individuals to pursue their interests and develop their expertise. Full time and part time applications will be considered. Details of our typical rota is detailed below:
· 4 weekdays with one full weekday off
· 1 in 4 Saturday mornings
· No out of hours

About Us

Ark Veterinary Centre is located in Colchester only a short drive from the coast and Suffolk and a train ride to London. All our Veterinary Surgeons get the opportunity to operate every week and consultations are in blocks in the morning, afternoon and evening allowing adequate time for reporting results to owners ensuring good case continuity. Our visiting specialists are also very informative and happy to be observed which proves a very good way of increasing knowledge in areas that we might not otherwise be involved in.

We have a fantastic team of 3 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 4 Veterinary Surgeons, 2 Veterinary Care Assistants and 5 support staff. We pride ourselves on being mutually supportive and creating a warm welcoming environment for clients and their pets. Our team has varied interests but striving for clinical excellence is at the heart of everything we do.

Applicant Requirements

We are looking for someone who thrives at working as part of a team and is an excellent communicator. Our ideal candidate will be confident at routine surgeries and consulting. In return we offer full support to enable them to follow their particular passions all the way through to certificate holder.
