Job Description

The Role

We are looking for a highly motivated, confident Veterinary Surgeon to join our close-knit team working day shifts at a branch surgery as well as at the main Hospital. Full time or part time will be considered with a share of weekends for which lieu days are given to compensate where required. We can provide a varied caseload including routine consults and procedures as well as more complex surgical and medical cases.

About Us

Plymouth Veterinary Group has a flagship Veterinary Hospital and four Veterinary Centres around Plymouth to provide a convenient and personal service to every part of Plymouth. The Veterinary Hospital at Estover is open 24 hours every day of the year providing emergency care. Our vets have a wide range of special clinical interests including surgery, orthopaedics, cardiology and radiology, and we accept referrals from all over the South West. We are happy to see all species of pet animals including exotic species and have vets with a keen special interest in rabbits, rodent, reptile and avian medicine and surgery.

Applicant Requirements

The successful candidate must have a RCVS membership, preferably with strong clinical experience in small animal practice. We would accept applications from new graduates as well. A high standard of written and spoken English is required. A full clean driving license is preferable, as travelling between branches may be required. Career progression is encouraged and you can be supported through future qualifications and development.
