About Us
We are a busy, single-site small animal only practice. We strive to provide a high-quality first opinion service, whilst ensuring a rota with provisions made for sensible consulting block lengths (no more than 2 hrs of 15 min appointments) as well as plenty of opportunity for case work-ups and ops. We also have blocks of time ring-fenced for phone calls, lab reporting, research, repeat prescriptions etc. Our single-site location means that the team are all together at all times. This means plenty of opportunity for case discussions and internal support. We have a full range of the usual equipment that you would expect in a practice of this size. Our experienced team of 8 vets have a range of skills including orthopaedic and soft-tissue surgery, medicine, imaging and ophthalmology. Two certificates are underway already. Supporting the vets, are a great team of 11 RVNs and 5 receptionists.
Our ethos is that there is still a range of services that can be performed by a GP practice such as our own. We encourage clients to see the same vet as much as possible as this aids case management and builds up a good rapport. We also generally manage to work our own cases up, but with support from the experience from the rest of the team.
Applicant Requirements
We are looking for someone with experience who is confident with routine surgeries and consultations. Ideally, the person would have the confidence to work on their own, but with the reassurance of support if needed. An emphasis on client care is required, as we feel that: "As vets, if we do our job properly, communicate with clients and charge appropriately, the money will take care of itself".
