Veterinary Surgeon

Job Description

The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join our supportive team. Our full time vets work a 4 day week working from a rolling rota which is always done well in advance giving a good work life balance. Time between theatre and consultations is split evenly, usually giving at least 2 days in theatre and 2 days on consultations. Shared weekends on a rota basis and no OOH.

About Us

We are a friendly, progressive team who are always looking to improve ourselves and the services we can offer. Our sites have been recently modernised offering a great working environment and high standard of patient care. Our 3 sites are located in Ayrshire on the South West Coast of Scotland offering both beach and rural areas nearby. We are also only 45 minutes from the city of Glasgow.

Our team consists of 9 vets, a nursing team of 10 and a reception team of 8 – we even have our own in-house groomers. We have a good managerial structure in place with everyone encouraged to manage their own teams. We currently have vets who are completing surgical and feline medicine certificates and one vet who has completed a medicine certificate. We have nurses who hold feline nursing certificates, and nurses who are currently completing nutrition and surgical certificates. Teamwork and the well-being of our team is as equally important to us as patient and client care. Working through Covid-19 has shown us just how strong a team we are.
