Job Description

The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly team. The role is full time (5 days x 8 hour shifts) plus every second Saturday morning (4 hours). No OOH. We offer a diverse caseload beyond just routine ops and vaccinations. Clinical freedom and case follow through is encouraged plus interaction with our Clinical Director/colleagues where appropriate.

About Us

We are a busy practice with a diverse case load and a 100% small animal focus based in South London close to good transport links. We have grown by looking after our clients, their pets and supporting our colleagues. The surgery houses all the usual equipment, digital x-ray (including dental), ultrasound, in house blood machines, multi parameter monitoring equipment, and more.

Our team is led by the Clinical Director with three other vets and 3 RVN’s. Our support staff include a VCA, auxiliary and student nurses and a receptionist. Two of our vets are currently studying Post Graduate Certificates in Surgery and Internal Medicine. We are very well known in the local community having been a part of the community for the past 21 years.

Applicant Requirements

The role would suit a vet with solid experience in first opinion practice. Must be RCVS registered. Previous exposure to non-routine cases would be great plus the ability to step up and take ownership of your caseload, deliver on time consults and ops, and great customer focus. We don't mind if you would like to get your colleagues involved in the trickier cases. Experience in consults, surgical (not just speys and neuters), dentals, Dicom enabled imaging (ultrasound) desirable.
