The Role

We have an amazing opportunity for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our lovely small animal practice in Gateacre. You will be providing high quality clinical care to all pets and an outstanding client experience, helping to create and maintain an efficient clinic. There will be a mixture of general surgery and consults each day with minimal sole charge. Working hours and rota detailed below.
• 3 or 4 weekdays, as preferred (8:00am-7:00pm)
• 1:4 Saturdays (8:00am-12:30pm/5:00pm) time back in lieu
• 40 hours per week (in total)
• No OOH

We are a busy, expanding practice with 5 vet team, 4 RVN and one SVN with 4 Client Care Co-ordinator and together we are a friendly, fun and supportive team. Our clinical director has a surgical certificate, we have a lot of orthopaedic surgeries, as well as soft tissue surgery including BOAS surgery. We are lucky to boast a lovely loyal client base, excellent facilities (including digital X-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound scanner, separate dog and cat wards) and we are a silver award cat friendly practice. To top it off we have lots of local green space and parks, not far from the coast and superb transport links for travelling into the city.

Applicant Requirements

We are looking for a motivated Veterinary Surgeon who can thrive in our high-quality practice. Confident and professional, you will be able to work with sole charge. You will relate to our core principles of quality, integrity, responsibility and growth, fitting seamlessly alongside our friendly practice teams as you work with team to provide a quality experience for pet owner and pets alike. The ideal candidate will be an experienced RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon, preferably from a similar senior role in a small animal practice setting. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team are essential. A passion to deliver great clinical quality, caring for pets as if they were your own and a providing a fantastic client service are the standards we strive for.
