The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our team here at Swadlincote Vets. Dependant on experience and skill set, our new Vet team member will be required to undertake consultations and interventional procedures. Due to our high caseload consults are booked throughout the day and procedures are generally completed by one vet each day. We have a branch practice where a vet and nurse also attend each morning.
• Up to 5 days per week
• 1 in 4 or 1 in 5 Saturdays

Swadlincote Vets is a first opinion surgery with a highly experienced clinical team offering a wide range of medical and surgical facilities with an excellent range of modern equipment. Having a high number of insured clients allows for quality investigative medical caseloads and challenging surgical caseloads. Swadlincote is set in the middle of the National Forest and is surrounded by stunning countryside, yet close to main arterial driving routes. Our team is made up of 5 vets (including a certificate holder and another completing a certificate) and 7 qualified and highly experienced nurses. We have an experienced and efficient reception team allowing for smooth day-to-day running of the practice. We are a very friendly team, many of whom have been with us for 20+ years with regular social outings, when times allow. We are a progressive practice continually looking to adopt the latest methodologies and provide the highest level of service and care to clients and patients.

Applicant Requirements

The successful applicant will be MRCVS registered, with experience in a similar small animal practice setting. The ability to communicate well with the public and be an integral team player are essential.
