The Role

We are currently looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly team at Grove Lodge Veterinary Group in Worthing, West Sussex. The role will involve working 4 days per week (9hrs), plus 1 in 2 Saturday mornings and 1 in 10 full weekends. You will be working within a fast paced and friendly team, with support from experienced nurses and veterinary care assistants. The ideal candidate will have a medicine bias and will be primarily based at our busy hospital doing consults and shifts working with our inpatients. The role is ideal for those candidates looking to expand their medical knowledge and skill set. The candidate will be supported by two advanced practitioners in small animal medicine. The practice actively encourages progressive CPD and supports team members to work to their strengths. We don't mind if you hate operating. this is not a problem in a large supportive team.

About Us

We are a 24/7 Hospital founded in 1958 and now part of a larger group; IVC Evidensia. We have approximately 100 team members across 7 sites. Our specialist services include diagnostic imaging with on-site CT, orthopaedics, cardiology, soft tissue medicine and internal medicine. We also have an on-site laboratory, staff training room and a staff break room for that much needed cup of tea!

Applicant Requirements

You will have small animal experience and be motivated, caring and dedicated to providing gold standard veterinary care. You will enjoy a mixture of both consults and surgeries and be flexible in your approach to work. You are required to have a high standard of verbal and written English. Experience of working within a hospital environment is desirable but not essential. You will need to able to work in sole charge and in team environment.
