The Role

An exciting opportunity has become available for a full or part time small animal Veterinary Surgeon to join our first opinion practice in St Andrews. Dutiesinclude general first opinion medicine and surgery case load. The rota would be 4 or 5 day a week depending on candidate with 1:5 weekends (sat only) with a day off the following week. No phones or OOH past 7pm with inpatients being held on weeknights only.

About Us

We are located in the beautiful seaside town of St Andrews with 2 branches in the local area. We are seeking an experienced candidate to join our friendly, enthusiastic, and dynamic team which consists of 5 vets, 6 RVNs, and 5 receptionists. The practice is well-equipped with high standard facilities including 2 surgical theatres, dental suite, digital and dental x-ray, endoscopy, new Imotek ultrasound machine and in-house lab. We have regular vet meetings and full team meetings and offer fantastic supportive and a progressive team. Further study and career progression is supported.

Applicant Requirements

You will have some practice experience and be confident with both routine soft tissue surgery and first opinion medical workups. You may be working in smaller groups or sole charge in leading a branch site so an advantage to be comfortable in such situations but with support available if required. Good communication skills with the team and the clients are a must to keep up with the faster pace in the current clinical setting.
