The Role

We are looking for a confident, caring Veterinary Surgeon to join our lovely team to help look after the 1st opinion pets in our care. You will also be looking after referral cases and there is opportunity to develop any interests you might have in the future. Our vets do a combination of consults and surgical procedures and we have excellent facilities. Our hands on nursing team are always there to lend a hand and are happy to assist with any procedures. There are no OOH as we are the host practice for a Vets now 24/7 site which provides a wide array of very interesting cases. Weekends consist of a Saturday morning clinic then we hand over any inpatients to Vets Now to look after for the rest of the weekend.

About Us

We are located just off the M4 corridor in Newport. Our building has recently been refurbished and has lots of wonderful equipment including digital x-ray, ultrasound, flexible and ridged endoscopy, laparoscopy, orthopaedic and spinal equipment, dental machine including dental x-ray, separate dog cat and isolation wards, a well-stocked staff room and an amazing friendly team.

Applicant Requirements

We would like a confident caring vet that is happy to consult and perform routine surgery. There will be plenty of opportunities to be involved in the referral side of things if you have an interest and to develop your own interests.
