The Role

Experienced, capable Veterinary Surgeon required to work three days – preferably Monday, Tuesday & Thursday 08:30-18:30 with an hour for lunch. Plus 1:3 Saturday mornings 08:15-12:45 with break. No OOH and no sole charge. We are looking for someone to undertake an interesting range of consultations and work up cases daily along with surgery one or two days per week. You will be supported by a very experienced team of Vets, Nurses and Reception staff. We are committed to providing an excellent level of care to our patients and their owners and enjoy a varied caseload, offering specialisms in Ophthalmology, Acupuncture and Orthopaedics as well as working closely with local rescue and wildlife charities.

About Us

We have all the equipment and kit that you would expect and a large, fantastic, experienced teams of Nurses and Receptionists to support our work and ensure our clients and their pets receive the best possible care. We are in the beautiful market town of Ashbourne in Derbyshire on the edge of the Peak District National Park in central England. The Peak District is famous for it's steep limestone valleys like Dovedale and Lathkill Dale and in the North, the Dark Peak area has dramatic gritstone ridges and stark moorland plateaus like Kinder Scout, the park’s highest point. The nearby village of Edale marks one end of the iconic Pennine Way footpath.

Applicant Requirements

We are looking for an experienced, capable, confident Veterinary Surgeon. The ideal candidate to join our professional team will have good general small animal medical skills as well as a good knowledge of working up cases and ideally some surgical skill. You will be part of a team dedicated to providing superb standards of client and animal care. We have a varied, loyal client base to keep your days interesting.
