Veterinary Surgeon

Job Description

The Role

We are looking for a small animal veterinary surgeon who is able to carry out a combination of operating and consulting. We offer a supportive and friendly working environment. The position will be based across our 3 branches and Saturday mornings are shared on a rota basis. There are no OOH requirements as we have Vets Now close by. Full time (4/4.5 days) or Part Time applications are welcomed.

About Us

We are a 3-site practice along the west coast of Ayrshire. We are a forward-thinking practice with a motivated team that strive to provide the best care to our clients and pets. We offer a wide range of services in house including dedicated operating theatres, full laboratory facilities, radiographs (including dental), ultrasound and a basic orthopaedic kit. Our well-equipped practice prides itself on local reputation and aims to offer a high standard of medical and surgical first opinion care. We are also a RCVS Training Practice. Learning and development is important to us, so personal interests and CPD are encouraged.

Applicant Requirements

We are looking for a friendly, confident small animal veterinary surgeon with some post qualification experience to join our team across our 3 sites. We are looking for someone who is keen to get stuck into all aspects of first opinion practice with the ability to perform routine surgeries and consults to a high standard – working up cases is encouraged.

As a Disability Confident Employer we are keen to hear from candidates with disabilities and long term health conditions, and would be happy to discuss any reasonable adjustments needed during the recruitment process.
