We are looking for a highly motivated, confident practitioner to join our close-knit team. Full time/part time considered, Monday to Friday and 1 in 4 weekends with lieu days to compensate. The shift pattern will be a mixture of early, late and branch shifts. You must provide an effective consultation process and ensure treatment given is in line with informed consent. You will also assume responsibility for surgical and medical cases at all times. You should be happy to carry out routine surgeries such as bitch spays, castrates and lump removals with minimal to no assistance.
Plymouth Veterinary Group has a flagship Veterinary Hospital and four Veterinary Centres around Plymouth to provide a convenient and personal service to every part of Plymouth. The Veterinary Hospital at Estover is open 24 hours every day of the year providing emergency care. Our vets have a wide range of special clinical interests including surgery, orthopaedics, cardiology and radiology, and we accept referrals from all over the South West. We are happy to see all species of pet animals including exotic species and have vets with a keen special interest in rabbits, rodent, reptile and avian medicine and surgery.
The successful candidate must have a RCVS membership, preferably with strong clinical experience in small animal practice. We would accept applications from new graduates as well. A high standard of written and spoken English is required. A full clean driving license is preferable, as travelling between branches may be required.
