The Role

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic veterinary surgeon to join our progressive small animal hospital. Supported by a team of friendly colleagues, in house laboratory and dedicated lab technician, all the usual toys plus CT, you will be able to work cases up to a high standard. Our aim is to provide our clients and patients with gold standard care with an emphasis on case continuity. With a focus on personal and professional development, CPD is encouraged and funded.

About Us

Situated in beautiful Rutland, Oakham Veterinary Hospital is a long established single site equine and small animal practice. Our well equipped, purpose built premises and Tier 3 Hospital status mean that we are able to work cases up to a high standard. As a clinical associate of Nottingham Vet School, we also have access to their knowledge and expertise. Our hard working, supportive team is made up of 9 veterinary surgeons, 17 nurses and a friendly customer care team.

Applicant Requirements

We are particularly keen to hear from candidates with further qualifications or an interest in surgery. If you have the confidence to perform surgery unsupervised and the ability to work up their own medical cases, our certificate holders can help you develop further. For new or recent graduates, there is also support to help you grow in your first role.
Great client communication skills are also essential as we pride ourselves on delivering a high quality service to our clients.

As the role will involve occasional OOH house visits, applicants will be required to have a full driving licence.
