The Role

We are currently looking for a Receptionist to join our friendly team at our Tunbridge Wells Clinic with some cover at our Crowborough clinic. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week over 5 days a week and 1 in 3 weekends with no out of hours.

This is a varied role in a busy professional environment where duties will include but are not limited to answering the telephone, scheduling appointments, handling medication, maintaining infection control, recording data accurately, ensuring consult rooms are stocked up, ensuring reception areas are cleaned, registering new clients, taking payments, placing orders, actively promoting initiatives, answering queries and dealing with insurance claims. Some lone working is required so confidence is essential.

About Us

We are an established Veterinary practice in Tunbridge Wells and Crowborough. We have a team of 5 Veterinary Surgeons, 4 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 2 Student Veterinary Nurses and a great support team that ensure we deliver a high quality service to our clients. We have a designated dental suite, separate cat and dog wards and newly refurbished clinic at Tunbridge Wells with digital x-ray and an in house lab.

Applicant Requirements

Our ideal candidate will have experience in a customer facing role, be proactive, remain calm and be able to work under pressure whilst ensuring that clients and their pets receive excellent customer service. You must be able to show empathy in sensitive situations and have a positive, warm and welcoming disposition. You need to be able to work on your own initiative and have excellent interpersonal skills. IT skills are required and to be able to multitask. A love of animals is essential but it is not necessary to have previous veterinary experience although it would be advantageous. You will need to have a full UK driving licence. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to make the role their own.
