We are currently looking for a Receptionist to join our welcoming team in Hatfield, Hertfordshire. Our receptionists are the friendly face of our practice, which is an important client facing role here at Bishops. This is a part time role working 24 hours a week, typically made up of three 8 hour days. Some weekend work will be required which is on a shared (typically 1 in 3) Saturday morning rota and time off in lieu will be given back for hours worked. Duties for this role include but are not limited to greeting clients and pets, answering the telephone, booking appointments, managing emails, keeping our social media channels up to date, having an understanding of the products we stock, dealing with insurance forms, cleaning and management of our health care plan.
We are a small, friendly companion animal veterinary practice based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire. We have a low staff turnover and have some staff who have been here over 20 years! We are located in the Business Park in Hatfield, close to local amenities and travel links. Our friendly team is made up of 3 Veterinary Surgeons, 4 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 1 Student Veterinary Nurse, a Practice Manager and a Receptionist. We are all very much looking forward to welcoming a new member to the team!
Our ideal candidate will be proactive, organised, caring, a good communicator both in person and by promoting the practice on our social media channels and keen to provide exceptional customer service to our clients. They will also need to be able to hit the ground running by picking up new skills quickly, multi-tasking and being able to work under pressure. Previous experience working in the veterinary sector is strongly preferred and previous customer service experience is essential.
