The Role

An opportunity has arisen for a receptionist to join our fantastic team. We are currently looking to expand our front of house team from 3 to 4. Our receptionists plays an important role in frank. Pet Surgeons. The role is varied and includes the following responsibilities;

• Liaising with referring vets, clients and insurance companies
• Booking appointments, processing insurance claims, taking and processing payments
• Petty cash and banking
• Updating our patient database as well as administrative systems to ensure accurate records are maintained
• Stock management and ordering
• Maintaining reception and consultation rooms to ensure these are kept clean and tidy at all times

Our front of house team offers exceptionally high standards of customer service whilst communicating effectively with all other members of the hospital team and the pet owner. We are looking for people who share this ethos. We provide clinical services around the clock, 365 days of the year, so flexibility in working hours is essential. Our surgical team currently consists of 2 Specialist Surgeons, 2 Surgeons, 3 Surgical Interns, 11 RVNs and 3 Animal Care Assistants.

Applicant Requirements

You will be a confident receptionist with great communication, organisational skills and a passion for development. Along with existing experience, in-house training and external CPD will provide you with the knowledge and skills to carry out these duties. Customer service, IT and telephone experience essential. Whilst you will be joining our front of house team you should be confident in solely managing reception, taking payments and dealing with difficult situations.
