The Role

We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse or 3 rd year soon to qualify student to join our lovely team at Canvey Island.

The clinic has a good surgical and medical caseload, which will enable you to develop your nursing skills fully. You will be supported by a large team of 3 Vets and 8 nursing staff including RVNs, SVNs and Patient Care Assistants.

We generally have 50+ consults, 6+ procedures and a few inpatients per day. We have 2 theatres, 3 consult rooms, separate dog, cat and exotic ward, digital Xray, laser machine and in-house lab equipment. We see a lot of exotic species as 3 of our vets have a keen interest in a range of different species. Our RVNS regularly carry out nurse appointments and schedule 3 procedures. We are a close and friendly team always looking to thrive and support each other in our daily work.

Previous experience working in a small animal practice is required. This position provides you with the opportunity to develop nursing clinics and use your initiative to promote new ideas.

This is a full time permanent position, covering 40 hours per week. You will also be part of a weekend rota, covering 1:6 full weekend
