Job Description

You will be a proactive member of a collaborative team of Veterinarians dedicated to providing excellent patient care and client service. Your day-to-day will include managing urgent care cases presented to the hospital during the afternoon and evening hours. This could include diagnostic evaluation and treatment of medical cases, emergency surgical cases, or traumas. Overnight care for critical patients would be referred to the local emergency clinic. In addition, assistance may also be provided for wellness care as necessary. Our team of experienced technicians give you the freedom to practice with the full support of our sophisticated in-house lab, digital dental radiography, ultrasound, electrosurgery, laser therapy, oxygen cage, IV fluid pumps, and more. Typical hours would likely be Monday through Thursday afternoons and evenings. Relief help for occasional weekend overage as need may also apply.

Qualifications

You must meet the minimum requirements of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or Veterinariae Medicinae Doctoris (VMD), License to practice veterinary medicine in Maryland, and DEA license.

Additional consideration will be given to candidates that have a passion for continued learning and improvement, demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills, and ability to perform all standard surgeries. This position is open to recent graduates and experienced Veterinarians. We have extensive experience in mentoring less experienced doctors that allows for a gradual introduction into daily practice life. Full and Part-time opportunities will be considered.
