Associate Veterinarian – ER – Exotics Only

Job Description

Job Description

The Center for Bird and Exotic Animal Medicine (CBEAM, www.theexoticvet.com) islooking for full time overnight/swing shift associate veterinarians to join our team. Located near Seattle, WA, CBEAM is thriving in these unprecedented times and continuing to expand the services offered to our clients. We are exotics-exclusive, staffed 24/7, and provide both emergency and routine preventative care to our patients. We recently added CT and fluoroscopy to our clinic, and already have digital radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, and specialized surgical equipment. We also have access to multiple other local clinical specialists (cardiology, radiology, oncology, etc.).

We currently have 8 full time doctors (including one ABVP board certified avian specialist and 1 full time veterinary resident), 7 techs, and 10 assistants. The available associate veterinary position would be primarily focused on emergency exotic medicine with some routine appointments. Candidates must be willing to work a rotation schedule of overnight and swing (afternoon/early evening) shifts. We are transitioning towards a quarterly rotational schedule for our evening/overnight staff to help support a good work life balance.

This position is a great opportunity for someone who practices high quality medicine and is interested in getting boarded in exotics. Mentorship and support is available, and continuing education is provided for doctors twice weekly to ensure that everyone is up to date on the latest advancements in the field. We are offering a competitive salary based on experience level in addition to full benefits and a generous CE allowance.

Interested candidates should send their CV/resume, as well as at least two employment references, to [email protected].
