Vetwest Animal Hospital Whitfords is located as short walk from Whitford City Shopping Centre and only 5kms from the popular Hillarys Boat Harbour. The coastal suburb of Hillarys boasts beautiful beaches and parks and a lifestyle that many only dream of!

We are seeking a Part-time Veterinarian to join our clinic for and be part of a busy team, delivering a diverse range of services. We are able to offer 30 working hours per week to someone who shares our values and who thrives in a high-energy environment.

Our Clinic

Vetwest Animal Hospital Whitfords is a large, thriving clinic comprising of four Veterinarians, a team of eleven Nurses and a supportive and experienced Practice Manager.  We are a passionate and empathetic team with special interests in Medicine, Rehabilitation, Behaviour and Surgery.

Our Veterinarians offer services that range from health checks, sterilisations, vaccinations, parasite control and pathology to dentistry, digital radiography and puppy preschool. We also run a weekly Ophthalmology clinic and we have a Dermatology Specialist who is exceptional at providing training time to our Vets!

Our purpose-built clinic boasts five consulting rooms, a large treatment room, two surgery spaces and a separate cat waiting area and consult room. Our equipment includes Surgivet and BM5 patient monitors, a dedicated lab area including Idexx Catalyst Dx & Idexx Procyte, Idexx Urinalysis unit, Statspin and Microsope, Digital X-ray, IM3 dental Suite including Dental X-ray, Mylab 5 Ultrasound and Tonovet.

Our Vacancy

What we are looking for:
 

  • BVSc or equivalent, and registration to practice in Western Australia
  • A confident Veterinarian with a minimum of 2 years’ practical experience
  • The ability to manage a fully booked consult schedule and perform routine surgery in a reasonable timeframe
  • A commitment to provide exceptional patient care
  • Ability to oversee the caseload and work autonomously
  • Exceptional communication and client relationship building skills
  • Contribute to a rotating weekend roster, 8.30am –5pm.
